As of 2 weeks ago, Ethan is 8 months old! I always seem to be a few weeks behind. Whoops!
Ethan is growing and learning so much. He is trying to sit up on his own and just about to start crawling forward. Every time he raises his hand to go, his head is too top-heavy that he just falls on his side. He has learned to crawl (more like scoot) backwards and he rolls to get to where he wants to go but still loves standing more than sitting.
Ethan is so observant. He loves watching people move about around him. Once he spotted the Christmas tree, he would roll onto his belly and just look up staring at it for as long as he could hold his head.
We are still working on trying to eat with a spoon but he doesn’t like it and after a few minutes gets fussy until I cave and switch to a bottle. Although, this past week have been rough on us with the cold season being around. So we have taken a break from spoon-feeding and are focusing on getting Ethan to eat as much food as he can without spitting any of it back up. So far, we are failing.
My sweet boy is way outgoing and loves when we go places. He is so happy when he can watch all of the new exciting things around him. Just going to the store is exciting for him.
Height: 24 inches
Weight: 14 lbs. 1 oz. (lost some weight due to being sick)
Clothing size: Moving out of 3 into 3 to 6 months
The past 2 weeks, Ethan has been fighting a cold with needing breathing treatments for his coughing, wheezing breathing, and complete congestion. Plus, throwing up a lot of his food with mucus. So his feedings have been all over the place. But over all, he will eat 5 to 6 bottles with 5 oz of food with/out cereal. While being sick, the bottles look more like 2 to 3 oz and half of that comes back up.
Since Ethan is sick and throwing up in his sleep, he has been sleeping with me either on the couch or in our bed. But he is still going to bed between 10 to 11 P.M. and waking up around 8 A.M. for a bottle.
