Better late than never, right?
Any who, this is the story of Ethan first time at the Washington State Fair.
To start it all off, I have become a protective mother with Ethan. You know, since he is was preemie and all. So I checked the weather like one does when you are about to take a baby outside for long periods of time. The weather app said it was going to be in the low 60’s. Which is to be expected with it being September in the inland north west.
WRONG!!! After being there for an hour it was super hot! Like in the 90’s. We were all bundled up and ready for 60° weather! UGH!!! Don’t get me wrong, I’m all down for nice weather. But not when I’m wear 3 layers of clothes and boots. An over dressed hot family, means a cranky family.
Before getting there we thought he was going to sleep through most of the event like he does most other places we take him to. But he was awake!! The whole time!!! My husband and I were pretty impressed with how well he did. Ethan loved every minute of it. He loved watching the people walking by, he loved seeing the animals, and he didn’t complain until it was about time to go. We won him a stuffed animal at the dart game, we got our picture taken for the photo button and successfully completed getting a caricature drawing before wanting second lunch. My husband (Joel) and I are learning very quickly that he loves being out and about see the hustle and bustle of life.
