Today is the starting date for me to get back into a workout routine and back into shape. Well, I’m learning that’s going to be a little more difficult than I thought. I was off to a good start this early afternoon when my baby boy Ethan and I went for a 3 mile walk. It was cold out but sunny and decent enough. I bundled up my little man, strapped him into his front chest harness carrier, and started our walk. About a mile an a half into the wall, the wind started blowing and the rain started to sprinkle. We kept chugging along since being this far, I didnt want to turn around and miss the hardest part of my walk. Which was also about the time that I realized I wore the wrong socks with my workout shoes because I was starting to get a blister on the back of my foot. Ouch!
Now I have found a pretty good loop in my neighborhood to walk. It consisted of a 3+ mile loop, 3 long hill climbs and a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier only when, “The mountain is out”. At about the 2 mile marker, the rain started to come down. The rain drops kept touching poor little Ethan in the face while he was enjoying his nap which kept making him do his little angry scrunch face. Finally, during the last mile on the way back home, Poof! The wind and the rain stopped and it was perfectly fine the rest of the way home. I’m not really complaining about it, I just have bad luck with the weather and she likes to show her unenjoyable sides just about ever time I’m out and about.
Once we got home, I figured I could do a workout video since I wasn’t tired from the walk. I put little man in his swing facing me because he loves watching people dance and move. I found a dance workout video on YouTube. Woot! From what I saw of it, it was a great workout video. 30 minutes long and for the most part I could keep up. But half way through the video, Ethan started to get fussy and hungry. End of the workout for me today.
Needless to say, everyday working out is going to be an adventure.
